ABOUT US
To address a social problem “Kamakshi Devi Trust (Regd. No 119/85) started “Kamakshi Prema Mandiram” in 1986 to undertake the responsibility of nourishing and taking care of those unfortunate children irrespective of their caste, creed, region or religion, who lost their parents in natural calamities like cyclones, floods, earthquakes and also in man-made calamities, including tragedies
It made it’s humble beginning on 30th of August, 1986 by accepting 3 children in unprecedented and the most devastating floods of River Godavari. Until now Prema Mandiram gave shelter to 120 orphans and latest addition is baby girl. All these children who reached the feet of Kamakshi Devi in most depressed state are being given food, shelter, dress, education besides providing ethical moral and cultural background.
Sri Kamesha Maharshi (Mr Yerram Raju Behara) started this initiative and has been reshaping life's of these orphans as the most disciplined and responsible citizens of the society. 25 years ago this great man on his own responded to a social, cultural problem and provided a solution to help those in need. He sacrificed everything in his effort but succeeded in shaping many of the children future secure by providing Shelter, Education, Care and Protections.
